We are now visiting "Chocoland" across the channel for some "Oldies/Goodies" from "Bob" so enjoy some "Nostalgia" from Belgium !!
Matt Monro's records are always welcome. Thank you. Do you have, and this is a far-out request, any albums of a great but now forgotten 40's vocalist, Johnnie Johnston? I want to save him from an obscurity he does not deserve. He made one of the first and still most ravishing recordings of "Laura," for Capitol. Surely, a singer this good must have made other records. And surely someone must have at least some of them. I sure hope it is you.
I still remember how strange it was to see him among our then-time "beatstar" favourites in Pop Gear, and now, when I am much over 64, I think he was one of the best crooners of the last century. Thanks for all, and continue preserving the values of "words and music" as long as it is possible!
