An all time top twelve American swing classics tracks.. and they are great played by the driving swing Ted Heath Band as I remember seeing and hearing them many times in the 50' & 60's...no imitation here just great British arrangments by a first class swing band !!!

Another "Ted Heath" in "Phase 4 Stereo"....this is a great L/P and the sound is great...BUT its not the sound of vintage 50's/60's "Ted Heath"its a studio recording with all the knobs and sliders in force !! A1+ arrangements and sound but not as spontaneous as his early recordings !!
But as I said Its a great one !!!

One of Britain's great Big Band Sound from the 50's and I was there !!! what with "Lita Roza" "Dickie Valentine" & "Dennis Lotis" it was a teenagers dream just to be there and listen !!...also loads of menories having a pint or so with some of the Band in "The Marquis Of Wellington" and even buying "Lita Roza" a coffee in the now defunct "Banners" Coffee Bar !! This of course was in "Leicester" !!!
