Dave Mason & Cass Elliot.

When I saw this L/P in a Junk Shop I thought I may as well get it it only cost about 50p....I was disappointed tho' "Cass" only sings one song on her own and the rest of the tracks I assume that she is singing with Dave Mason who incidentally I hadn't heard of !!.....Isn't it strange that it is only when "Cass Elliot" sings on her own that you get that rich unique sounding voice...when she was with "The Mama's And The Papa's" and on this L/P her voice seems to blend in and lose that uniqueness....The L/P as a whole is a run of the mill production nothing exiting is happening which is a pity because there is not much of  "Cass Elliot's" recordings available !!!
And Isn't that a great picture of "Cass"!!!!!

Richard Marino & Orchestra

Here's a great L/P to test your stereo system...The stereo effects are "Magic" as in the title..A must for the Stereo enthusiasts !!!

From the inside cover: Richard Marino, the man whose baton becomes the wand for conjuring up the Magic Beat, brings to this album a rich background in classical and popular music.
Beginning his career as a violinist, Marino later traded his bow for a baton and has turned his attentions mainly to conducting. He has conducted the Glendale, California and El Paso, Texas symphony orchestras; has been associated with radio and television as a musical director and has still found time to build a fine reputation as an arranger and orchestrator.

From Billboard - February 13, 1961: This is one of the first albums in Liberty's new Premier "sound" series and a might exciting one it is, too. Smart, exciting arrangements played by the large ork make this album for stereo fans and hi-fi bugs.

In 1970 at the "Eurovision Song Contest"the winning song was "All Kind Of Everything" sung by the 18 year old above singer !...Don't know whether this is her first L/P. I should think not as this was recorded in 1975...and she certainly looks different on this cover that she did on the Contest !
