Shelly Mann & Friends.
Thought that I would give all you Jazz lovers out there a treat and include this L/P....it's another cool one a bit more on the "Jazzy" side than the "My Fair Lady" L/P but still worth a listen....There is more improvisations in the tunes but you can still recognise them....Andre Previn is a great pianist....The "Friends" only got together for the L/P sessions and from what I found out they only made 3 L/P's on the Contempory Label...
1. Jubilation T Cornpone
2. The Country's In The Very Best Of Hands
3. If I Had My Druthers
4. Unnecessary Town
5. Matrimonial Stomp
1. Progress Is The Root Of All Evil

Take It Away LITA...!!!!!!!!
Take It Away LITA...!!!!!!!!
This is a great L/P from the vocalist from the Ted Heath Band....AAAA100% !!!!!
Johnny Keating, who played great trombone and had also worked for Ted Heath. Ronnie said that I was doing an album for Pye and asked him to play on it. We formed a small group with Ronnie on trumpet. He was a beautiful trumpet player, still is." The album, despite an appalling title, Drinka Lita Roza Day and no rehearsals to speak of, is among Roza's best and was recorded in 1960 at the Prospect of Whitby pub in Wapping. It ends when the landlord calls time.
Lita Roza at the Prospect of Whitby. The Prospect is a history-drenched pub overlooking the Thames in London's East End. Lita Roza was a talented and stunningly beautiful singer of the 1950s. Johnny Keating is one of the noteworthy jazz composer-arrangers.

Monica Zetterlund
Name is familiar but I have not heard her voice till now...so thanks once again John for the introduction !!!..On this L/P she sings one track in English and the next one in Swedish..as you can see from the track listing !
Monica Zetterlund (born Eva Monica Nilsson; 20 September 1937 – 12 May 2005) was a Swedish singer and actress...Zetterlund began by learning the classic jazz songs from radio and records, initially not knowing the language and what they sang about in English...In 1964, she recorded the critically acclaimed jazz album Waltz for Debby with Bill Evans, a record she herself described as "the best I've done"
